My appreciation of jewelry began when I was a young girl, mesmerized as I studied beautiful pieces in my grandmothers' jewelry boxes. I remember holding each bracelet, necklace, and ring up to the light, captivated by the faceted sparkles reflected across my hands and the intricate details that seemed to tell their own stories. Each piece carried memories—moments of celebration, milestones, and everyday magic. Before founding LB Jewelry Designs, I built a successful public relations company representing clients across many industries. It was a fulfilling career, but everything changed when I began working with a well-known jeweler in Dallas. Instead of continuing our traditional monthly retainer arrangement, I proposed something different—I would design my own jewelry pieces, and they would be crafted into custom designs using precious gemstones. That pivotal moment became a turning point. As I designed those pieces and saw them come to life, I realized my true passion lay in jewelry creation, not public relations.

More importantly, that experience revealed a gap in the market. Exquisite jewelry design shouldn't be limited to those who could afford precious metals and gemstones. I became inspired to create collections that were beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and accessible to everyone. Using gold plate, gold-filled, and gold vermeil combined with stunning rough-cut gemstones, I discovered I could craft pieces that captured the same elegance and meaning as fine jewelry, but at price points that made them attainable for more people.

In 2015, I decided to turn that passion into purpose and founded LB Jewelry Designs. From the start, I made a strategic business decision that would shape the company's future: I chose to build an online boutique rather than invest in a traditional storefront. This approach allowed me to avoid the burden of high overhead costs while maintaining the quality and artistry of my designs. More importantly, it created an opportunity for high-end boutiques and specialty retailers to carry my collections, extending the reach of LB Jewelry Designs far beyond what a single location could achieve. What started as a small studio has grown into a thriving business with a presence both online and in carefully curated retail partnerships, but our mission remains unchanged—to create beautiful, thoughtfully designed jewelry that resonates with your personal style and story.
